Meet André Linn – Psychoanalyst & Clinical Practitioner at Lobato Therapy

André Linn is a psychoanalyst and clinical practitioner with a rich background in communication, semiotics, and the study of how language, imagery, and subjectivity shape human experience.

He holds a postgraduate qualification in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), along with specialised training in Psychoanalytic Semiotics – Culture Clinic, and clinical formation from the Centro de Estudos Psicanalíticos (CEP).

In addition to his therapeutic work, André leads LinnGuagem – Communication & Expression, an educational project dedicated to language learning, communication skills, and expressive practices. His approach integrates psychoanalytic listening, cultural awareness, and creative methods for exploring human expression.

Alongside his clinical practice, André has taught at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP) and has delivered numerous courses, talks, and workshops on psychoanalysis, language, and communication. He also works as a documentary and digital media producer, creating projects that explore identity, culture, and lived experience—several of which have been screened at festivals in Brazil, Canada, France, England and Argentina.

André’s work is grounded in psychoanalytic theory while remaining deeply attentive to how people communicate, express themselves, and make meaning in their lives. He is committed to offering thoughtful, culturally sensitive care and supporting clients in developing insight, agency, and emotional wellbeing.
